refrigerator, water pump, and furnace advice.
I am aquiring new appliances for the bus reno.
Here is where I am at. I have the winter to aquire new appliances for the bus and I am looking for suggestions.
No 1. Water pump brand and size. I would like to know what has worked for people and what they could do differently now.
- how many gpm?
- automatic flow sensor or an on/off switch?
- acumulation tank or no?
No 2. Furnace. I currently have a vented, non ducted or fan assisted propane furnace. It works well, however is not very efficiant and allows air to flow through the vents to the inside of the bus while not in use. And it needs work. So I am thinking of replacing it.
- How about a non vented propane (brick) style?
- Under bus with ducting and squirrel cage?
- Other?
No 3. Fridge. I need a fridge. I would like the versatilitly of a 3 way however the price is duanting. I have seen a number of people use domestic electric styles on this site and am wondering how much juice they use. Are the designers planning on using their busses for boondocking or are they reliant on generators? I like the price of a used domestic full size fridge, but I am concerned with how much battery it will use.
No 4. Please recomend and air conditioning unit. I would like two ceiling unit's with heat strips.
- what brands are the strongest?
- what should I look for when purchasing?
Thanks to all of you. The diverse opinions and experience on this site are a value to all.
