Remove hatch, add fan?

Has anyone successfully removed their roof escape hatch and replaced it with a fan? I was thinking I wanted to add a fantastic fan, but my hatch is 22” x 22 1/2” and I can’t find anything that will fit.

Many before me have done the same. Remove old plasti-crap, scrape crud, repair roof, patch with steel, cut 14-3/16" square, select your device from standard rv products.

I skip no steps and narrated my pics. Consider this method or something similar:

My steel came from a local shop. You can get one similar (a bit smaller) at skoolie.com, or a metal shop near you.
