Don't pay any attention to Smitty. It's not the "Size of your bus" But how you use it. Smitty's just compensating.

Re: Roof decks?

hey dogstar we are in amarillo and we went all the way to gulfport mississippi to get our bus the trick is to try and get the buses at the end of the school year or they will be shipped to mexico i have heard from multiple dealers that they just sell off old inventory to mexico
but dont fret a long trip to get your bus will seem like peanuts after you have made a couple of trips in your bus
i will keep an eye out for a shorty in your area though

Re: Roof decks?

Dogstar - Having no one else to assist me either, I took a bus (of all things...go figure... ) from NC to the town in Mass where the bus was located, took a taxi from the bus station to the bus, and drove her home from there. Perhaps this would be an option for you?

Understood! I didn't say I had an uneventful bus ride up there (it was and adventure), (or back, for that matter, heh!) I just allowed the excitement of the prize that awaited to override the crap, and enjoyed the ride anyway.

The seller and I were also very communicative, so there weren't any issues there. We had each other's cel # in case of problems. In the end all was well, with TWE & me safe & sound at home.

Hey dogstar I just noticed I'm not the only psycho in DFW planning a skoolie.

Re: Roof decks?

Sorry man I'm not going to even get started for at least six months. Right now I'm just trolling this sight and picking up good information and ideas where I can so that the process is less intimidating when I get started...and of course to be prepared and not get in over my head.
