Saw our first bus today

So...we went and looked at a bus today and I was wondering what the community has to say. I'm posting a video where you can hear the engine running. This was immediately after start up, so it was a cold engine (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bzg...ew?usp=sharing). I do not have much experience with diesel engines, but I don't like the metallic clanking coming from the engine.

I'm also posting some pics in the attached pdf. The main part of the frame looked pretty good, but there was some corrosion on some of the ancillary frame pieces and some grease leakage on the front end.

Thoughts?

It would be helpful to know which engine it has. The pics were a bit pixelated for me but from what I could see, I didn't see anything that would be a red flag.

I did not hear anything in the video that sounds out of the ordinary for an IH engine ... depending which one it has. How was the oil pressure?

Change the size of the pdf document down to 100%, you'll see them better. I thought the same thing.

that "grease leakage" in the pics is a good thing.
It means it has been greased more than never.
And if the leaking stuff is not coated in dust and dirt, that means it was greased recently.
