School Bus vs Charter/ Passenger Bus

I've done a couple van conversions, now I'm looking to step it up a notch.
I'm looking to buy a BlueBird flat nose Shorty. I've seen them in both a School Bus and Passenger Bus versions. What's the difference mechanically and are they the same body/ chassis construction through out? Is the headroom any difference?

The clear differences are school bus exterior lights, sliding windows and seats.

Any thoughts on which is better for conversions?

The school bus is likely to be far more commonly available. The basic body construction is probably very similar. The passenger variant will likely have more headroom, bigger engine and highway gearing, may have A/C as well. Tinted windows will help reflect heat (if equipped). May have better insulation (one member here acquired a bus that already had spray-foam insulation).
