Seats, seatbelts and passengers?

Hey! New member here and new to owning a bus! I am just starting my bus conversion in Canada, Ontario and I was just wondering, if anyone on here knows the deal with laws regarding seats, seat belts and passengers. I've spent a lot of time searching through the Ontario Highway Traffic act and all it says is there must be enough seat belts for sleeping areas?
Can I bolt pilot seats from a minivan to the frame? Or do I just need a bench seat with seatbelts built in? Any information is greatly appreciated as I plan on traveling Canada with my kids and want to make sure we are safe.

Hello and welcome
As you have already figured out in Ontario in an rv you must have as many seat belts as you have sleeping berths, this includes sofa's that may convert to a bed. Also in Ontario all occupants must be belted any time the vehicle is moving.
You haven't giving us any details of your bus but in a conventional bus you do not want seats or belts fastened to the frame, they should be secured to the body structure. On a conventional school bus the body is secured to the frame with clamps that allow the body to slide and absorb crash energy in a forward collision, being belted to the frame could result in a body being crushed or even severed in a serious crash. Seats and belts can be secured theough the floor cross members and even just through the floor and plywood with the appropriate backing plates underneath.
Good luck and keep asking questions.
