Sept 2021 - What floor w/ these goals

Happy Sunday,

My wife and I have a 2013 Bluebird that we are converting.
In my previous bus, I had three different types floors for three areas.
The way-back cargo area was 12" square linoleum.
It did okay, but some squares became brittle and cracked - and that took work to replace them. I would rather do this job ONCE.

The living area was carpet over that normal rubber carpet mat.
I used a clear piece of vinyl as a runner to keep the carpet from getting too soiled.
This worked nicely and kept bare feet cushioned and warm.

The front driver area and stairs I used 1/2" black rubber 'gym' mat cut to size.
This wore like iron and was great for sloshy boots coming in from the winter or trekking around outside.

The goals for this bus's floor are:
a) Looks good and is durable.
b) Provides some insulation, both heat/cold and sound.
c) Affordable without an insane amount of super precise install work.

TIA!
