I thought that was very cool.
Water works better but yes you can do it with air too. Stand in front of a large cave system and you don't need the fan. A little humid but I love the temp.

Excellent!! Showed it the gf and she was all over it too. She plays much nicer than the ex.

Get a 53' or even the 60' from Canada, 3 or 4 wide on the base, 40' or 45' for a second floor, 20' for the third. Cardboard box fort, phfft. I raise you a metal box pyramid.

The link I posted has prices. They even make a point of mentioning that most places require you to ask for a quote. I've no idea if the prices they list are 3x higher than everyone else or 1/3rd of everyone else but I like 'em. I hate having to submit $hit.

Delivery is based on zip code from "my" site. I'm only a 15 (?) miles from the port if that. The gf is 70 miles. It was $329 to me and $5xx to her. Their site said they deliver 250 miles but when I used WV zips they didn't deliver to those zip codes. I even picked one right off of the interstate.

I'd expect to see a legal increase of maximum weight.
That would be nice to get new containers for next to nothing.

Thought the weight limit was higher than 80k. Probably requires another axle but I was thinking 110 or 120 for some reason.

Side note: A truck lost its load here in Baltimore a few months back. Took them almost a week to get it moved. It weighed 480,000 lbs.

My tiny house buddy bought a bunch of containers, but ended up just selling them and renting some out for storage.
Even if they are taxed and permanent structures, how many cities would know how to appraise it? It could go really well or really poorly for you. Your house built with literally 20 containers appraises for $50k. Woot woot.

I'd probably just build a steel framed house the way I'd want it rather than try to mod a storage container. To me they make a nice shed, but I'm not into the tiny house thing. I'm gonna get a shorty container for my mowers next year.
The prices used to be attractive but now you REALLY have to search a lot or be really lucky to find any kind of a "deal" on the damn things.

What's a deal? I've never looked before. $2300 for 8x8x40 is cheaper than any shed from Home Depot.

For the 40 ft; ain't much of a deal if I can get one all day long for $2300 off the first website I looked at. Granted Balto is a major port. Biggest next ot Miami on the east coast I think I heard.
