shorten bus exhaust

Is there any harm in shortening the 4" tail pipe exhaust. I have a 2001 international 3800 , it has been bent/beat up by prior owner and would help me with undercarriage space to remove say 20 ft, add a 90 bend take out the side few feet in front of the rear tires. I would think no harm, if anything less resistance on system. of course this is all behind the muffler system. advise

Yup

I am going to do exactly the same thing. Exit on the driver’s side in front of rear tires.

Both my Blue Birds came that way from the factory. Make sure the driveshaft has enough room to move (if applicable).

Some tail pipes come bent at the back and isn't supposed to be a perfect circle on these buses. Just FYI. Mine is this way as well.
