Shorty Options: '05 Ford Corbeil or '99 Chevy Thomas

Looking at getting a shorty project to use as a tow vehicle and these two gems showed up on craigslist--both are a derivable distance to pick up. What are people's thoughts regarding which one is the better value:

I wouldn't be interested in a 6.0 if it were free, which most practically are.
The Thomas could be a good deal, go check it out.

The 6.0 motor had problems. Bad headbolts. Once fixed they are ok. If you can see the service records, they might make the choice easier.
