Shouldn't all skoolies have a porch?

Added a back porch with ladder to upper deck to the bus, helps with cleaning the solar panels. Also added a rack for the generator.

Excellent! --- And yes...ALL Skoolies should have a back porch. Just wish mine had been as simple to construct (no big honkin' bumper to work with).

I paid $400. For all the four brackets on the back bumper and the one for the generator. All angle iron is 3gage. The brackets on back measure 42" on top 12" next to the bumper and 36" for the bottom angle coming up. The front is 24" x 24" so the generator can sit on it, the side legs are 28" but I should had had them to be 30". The front bumper is a little bent which didn't help.

No can do on my beastie. The engine needs access. I do like the shelf for the genny. You mounted that on the front bumper, right? And the roof deck is really nice.

Yes I have the shelf for the genny on the front bumper. The roof deck is great for extra space for storage, Home Depot has a nice wether resistant tote that I use it's only 12" high the perfect size, can put 4 up top.

I guess I am in the wrong area? I do custom on-site fab work and people look at me like I am crazy when I ask for 30$ an hour and the cost of the material and that don't count my own machine, tools, rods, drill bits, torches, grinding wheels, fuel and other stuff.
In a shop or a FAB table that's 4-hours worth a work then off to the paint room.
So they just made a 100$ an hour? Aaargh.
Now TANGO's is worth that but not just some brackets

Sorry I paid to much Jolly Roger but you and Tango are a bit down the road from me, if you're ever passing by stop in and we can have a beer if that will help. I have full hookups 30amps. Water and sewerage.

On a RE bus, after one removes those ugly rub rails, it is easy to fab up some reinforced flat panels to make tables that are hinged and fold down on the sides of the bus. This is what I did on my Thomas, with the barbecue stuff below in the compartment, and these folding tables work great, even for your tools when working on the bus. Tis easy to make hooks n chain to keep them at the right height, as well as clips to keep them in place when driving.
