Just went down a couple of pennies...was around a buck a liter.
So for argument sake, 4 bucks a gallon.
Diesel is around 111 to 112 a liter....$4.40 to $4.50 a gallon

Around $2 gas $3 diesel. But one thing to look at I think our pilot had free black tank dump with fill up at rv island. Kinda incentive to go there.

But if we're comparing to our US counterparts we need to normalize the dollar value.
$.958 * 3.78 = 3.62 CAD per US gallon
Which equals $2.74 USD per US gallon
Diesel in the outskirts of the Ottawa area is ~$1.09 CAD per liter right now.
$1.09 * 3.78 = 4.12 CAD per US gallon
= $3.12 USD per gallon

The strangest thing to me is how expense the bog-standard domestic beer is in Ontario. I can get "imported" Molson Canadian in Michigan for half the price. However, the imported European beer and local craft beer works out to about the same price as in Ontario.

I use my Good Sam discount card at Pilot and save about 10 cents per gallon. The Pilot near where my son lives in Adelanto, CA has the lowest prices in his area.

I can't imagine a difference of 3 mpg. My gasoline powered truck got 11 mpg empty. Pulling my 28' trailer it got 4 -5. The diesel it got replaced with got 22 empty and 18 with the trailer loaded. Pre DPF truck. The diesel had a least twice the torque and would fly up the mountains around here while the gas truck had to be revved out and screaming to make the climbs. I would NEVER recommend a gas engine. Retired truck driver/mechanic 45 years and yes I drove the old gas semi's that got less than 2 mpg's!
