Skoolie as an RV & Jeep Hualer

I just joined this site but I have wanted to convert a bus for many years. When I first mentioned this to my wife she looked at me like I was nuts but she is totally on board now!! We want to buy a bus and convert it into an RV and hual our Jeeps around the US when we retire. I figure we'll need a trailer with at least 26' of deck space to fit the Jeeps on(so probably around 31'-32' total length). It seems many states have a combined length law of 65' so we'll have to be careful of the lenth of the bus we get. Our current thought it a bus with a DT466, Allison auto and air brakes. If possible I'd like to have a small room in the back for tools and a small work bench. I have been driving trucks(aerial lift, log trucks, cranes, chip trucks and fuel delivery trucks) for over 25 years. I weld pretty good and I'm pretty good at mechanical work. My wife owned her own painting and renovation business and is real good at carpentry work. Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Is anyone out there hualing their Jeeps behind their skoolie?

I saw an interesting one some time back on the freeway. The bus body had been shortened down to about 2/3 length and a rollback body added on. It was caryying a Jeep on the rollback.

I missed this post. There are a couple of us right now that are active on the site. I don't think I have posted any recent jeep pics, but have been actively working on getting the bus done for next years jeep trips.

We haul a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4X4 "four down". The only pic I have is one taken on our way out here a few years ago. It's hard to see my Jeep behind the bus.
