Something living in my bus!

I think there is something living under the hood of my bus. Maybe right behind the firewall. I always hear scratching like something is moving around and falling. I thought it was birds because at first I saw them flying in and out of one of the tire rims but i don't know. Any one else experience this?

Birds, mice, raccoons, wasps, mud daubers all seem to have an affinity for skoolies.

My rig had a family of field mice (mom + a dozen babies) in it when I went to pick it up and I must have cleaned out 35 pounds of mud dauber nests from under the hood & frame to inside the wall panels.

Ah...Nature!

Scratchinn sounds like rats or chipmunks, wire eaters for sure. Get rid of them!
Every Spring here I get robins under my skoolie hood building nests. last Spring they built 4 and I removed 3 of them. The last time there was 2 eggs so I let them be, and they return every year. Tough little birds because the bus is wide open to some pretty vicious winds all winter and spring.
If you have rats get a pesticide specialist, they have the right stuff for those guys. I had them in my Suburban engine compartment finding warmth I guess.

Maybe place some used snakeskins (ask the pet store for cast-offs) strategically around the interior? That helped keep the rats out of my attic crawlspace.
