Lets keep in mind the buyer had paperwork from the garage clearly showing it was an AT545. As we all know, no one knows everything about every bus they buy, there are always a surprise or 2 in store.

I have air ride in mine, but it also had a wheel chair lift. I don’t know if that’s the difference but I love my bus.

Right but once you had it you became the seller. The folks who pay you a premium when you're flipping buses pay that so you can hold their hand and give them all the info. They don't want the surprises.

They didn't even know a person could call a bus garage until I recommended it Sunday night, after they had already traveled across the country to Atlanta on your word that it was a 2000 trans with air ride. And they're the ones who found out it had air ride, after you told them you thought it did because 'it rides as well as my 34 footer that has air ride', then texted them in Atlanta to tell them it didn't. Did you even look under the bus? The smallest suspension air bag I've ever seen on a bus was still the size of a bowling ball.....pretty impossible to miss if you're specifically looking for it.

This no different than the bus I flew to OKC for. Got there and it wasn't what I was expecting, so I lost airfare, hotel room, rent a car and fuel home. None of this I could put on the seller. They text me at 1am about the air ride. I ran out in the dark with a little flashlight and shined it in the front of the back wheel and saw the "spring". They said it didn't matter, they would come anyways. When they showed up they knew it had air suspension and an AT 545 before they ever handed over money. So ya. I'm the bad guy here.

I got title jumped when I bought my bus but I didn't even realize it for a few weeks. He paid a guy to deliver the bus to me, and that guy just handed me the title and then I dropped him off at the car rental place. Eventually noticed the name on the signed-over title was the school superintendent who sold the bus to my seller (whose real name I never learned - eBay) four years before.
Initially I was happy with this situation, because after discovering how rusty the bus was, I realized I could easily ditch it somewhere (like at the bus services company a block away that operated hundreds of school buses) without any hope of its ever being traced to me.
It's not a felony to get title-jumped, is it?

It all really depends on the type / weight of the suspension specified. Certaintly, there is a ride difference, however, it be more prominent the more heavy duty the suspension is. If you over spec the suspension, the bus may not be "heavy enough" to fully utilize the benefits.
I see many districts will spec the same suspension for all size buses to maintain similar parts.
But in short, yes, there is a difference in ride
Especially front air ride. Those buses so equipped had a tendency to "nose dive".

This is why I would never buy from flippers. They have no interest in honestly representing the bus or doing due diligence. They’re just there for the profit.
Not to mention you have very little recourse if things go south (like what happened earlier in the thread).

In WI it used to be 3 a year, not sure now. My uncle got warned once, doing it legally and exceeded the limit.
I personally think that tax should only be collected once on any vehicle. I know pickup trucks that have be sold 5-6 times during it's life.
What kills me is another scam, insurance. I own 7 vehicles and pay the same insurance as 7 people with 7 vehicles, with a slight multiple vehicle discount. I can't possible drive all 7 at the same time. The driver should be insured, not the vehicle, but that's another discussion for a different time.

If you're gonna skirt the regs and do shady stuff with titles and transfers, be sure you verify the vin.
This situation keeps going from bad to worse. Now they're on the other side of the country with the title to the wrong bus.

I switched my F-700 truck to air ride after one 3000 mile trip as a motorhome.
My F-700 based (Truck) RV had a 4000 pond per inch of spring travel spring rate. AND it came factory with NO SHOCKS on the rear.
It was the worst thing i have ever driven.
Now that it has the Air ride from the Freightliner it rides quite good. Like a late model pickup truck good.
