I got title-jumped and also got no BOS, but it was no problem in Pennsylvania. I wrote the sale date in on the original title (right in front of the tag & title clerk) which had been signed four years earlier, and eventually got a new PA title in the mail. The clerk said I would be audited within six months to verify the sale price (which I reported honestly) and would need to produce the BOS, but this never happened.

Your story about Marc speeding fits him perfectly. It shows a complete lack of interest in opinions other than his own, just like his post history does. I'm honestly a bit surprised by his complete lack of honor, though, as that doesn't always go hand-in-hand with being a blowhard.

narcissist and or sociopath. (who got my hint in that poop post?)

That fits in with the speeding scenario, the blowhard, and the rip-off artist.

And the jerky attitude.

This has come up here a few times, and it's weird. According to my tag & title person (in PA they're independent of the DOT in PA), to title and register a school bus as a motorhome requires a special inspection of the conversion and sign-off from the licensed mechanic who did the conversion (i.e. not me). However, a number of people in PA have switched their title to motorhome by simply mailing in the title change form with "bus" changed to "motorhome" and it works - their title now says motorhome. So it's either very difficult or incredibly easy, depending on whether you want to risk this being a bureaucratic oversight or not.

In my case, I only re-titled the bus from NY to PA, keeping it as a BUS on the title (which cost very little money - registering as a school bus in PA is incredibly expensive, like a grand a year) and then sent the new PA title to Vermont to get the motorhome registration and tags.

He is a national disgrace for all you Americans.

This will hit the media in Dawsonville GA, I am certain, not one of their favourite sons for being Mr NASCAR, know everything about everything.

Great to see some people agree with me and continue to call him out.
Bye the way where is the weasel that ain't afraid of anythang?

Great post as well CB, thanks boys! There is recourse available to these folks.

Karen, it's sad that y'all had to find out what a POS o1idiot is in this way, but I am glad you guys are still holding on to your enthusiasm for your build. I guess I should've tried harder to dissuade you from dealing with him.

I hope Todd told him where to stick it. No one knows the length of his 'timeout', but I do hope it's at least commensurate with the remainder of my lifespan. And I really hope you can get titled without having to send the title back to him to finish that part of the process.

Rest assured I'll link these 2 posts if he does come back here selling his wares, and I'm also keeping an eye on the FB bus groups I'm in.

That was for the air or spring conversation I believe. He had the bus for 3 days at that point and never bothered. He took the seller at his word he said regarding the tranny. Mistake, question everything is my motto. He just doesn't listen well,
So he did have ample opportunity to verify what he bought.

Thank you Christopher. Be careful what you wish for, I tend to be outspoken so couldn't hold back ever on 01. This whole schmozzle really upset me.

Also, ty for explaining how you let him drive the snot out of your bus. I have wondered about that for quite some time. Now I fully understand.

I just try to help people, no mercenary in me.

Facebook groups.......School Bus Conversion and Short Bus Conversion.

Not nearly the technical knowledge and 'how-to' you find on this site, but some good builds and ideas.

Thanks, I'd check it out but I do not log in to Facebook or any other social media platform. I got accounts w Facebook and Twitter a long time ago but never used them. Seen a lot of people get in big trouble using them and figured that with my big mouth that I would be one of them. Then came the privacy and spying issues. If I was interested in promoting something I would certainly jump right in on all of them and give it hell. But ...

I guess that I am weird but I haven't watched TV for the last 40 years, so I'm not up to date on a lot of media "issues" and haven't been programmed like many people. It seems to me that I "see" right thru much of the stuff that many people take as gospel.

I do a lot of internet reading, watching movies, etc and have been "online" since before the internet with dialup bbs, networks, & usegroups/newsgroups (the precursors for forums). I was on Startext in the early days, one of the earliest isps. They provided daily access to the news paper before it was published. Netscape 1, 2, & 3 were my first intro to the internet as we know it. Then came IE, America Online, Google, Yahoo, and the commercialization of the net.

Hopefully Oregon soon

He had possession of the bus for long enough to see the shifter or count the shifts. KY to GA is a decent drive.

Once he saw the shifter and drove it nothing the seller listed mattered. He became the seller. He's given enough "educating" to folks on here about telling the difference between a 545 and 2000, as far back as two years ago.
