Stained Plywood flooring?
has anyone ever done this? I have seen really beautiful versions in art Galleries & Sail making lofts. Curious to hear thoughts on this.

I've never done it, but my first concern would be the durability of the plywood surface as a walking surface.

i'm a fan of solid flooring with rugs on top from a user friendly point of view. Carpet is such a bad idea when it comes to keeping things clean.
rugs on top of plywood sounds like a good idea to me.

A friend of mine remodeled an old garage into a apartment, he used OSB on the floor and coated it with gloss clear polyurethane. It actually looked pretty neat!
