Starting a conversion soon!

Hello all! My name is Nick, my wife and I are going to be building a skoolie within the next 18 months! We plan on purchasing the bus in the next 6 months, but in order to start looking I need an idea on what transmission i want and an engine style. I know we both want an automatic transmission but I don't think that's going to be too difficult, also i know we want a something diesel. My wife and I will be taking this thing all over the country so we want something thats good on highways! We know that were doing a full size conversion (longer bus) not really a prefereance on pusher or puller unless someone thinks otherwise! we will be living in this full time for at least a year to travel! im thinking more! but please anything helps! thank you so much, and were stoked to be on this amazing journey!
