Tail lights in Bluebird

When I cut the back off the bus, I cut everything off that the lights were mounted to…

It has been a challenge to get things installed and sorted out; especially for someone who is not much with wiring.

But it turned out nicely, and works.

I had sort of hoped to only use one light per side, but the way Bluebird wired this one, that was not an option.

Warning!!!! The bumper is 3/16” thick!!!!

Cutting those holes and slots was a JOB!

Awesome! I'm actually working on the same thing this week as i extended the bumper for a deck. I went with similar lights. They actually have an orange blinker integrated, but i went with two for more visibility. I'm just going to surface mount them in the dip with some holes. I thought about putting guards or something to protect them, but i think they'll be fine for now. The slots look real nice!

I'm working on a trailer plug as well and determined i need a converter to join the blinker and brake lights into one wire. Ill wire this before my plug junction box to handle that.

What are you doing for reverse lights? I haven't found exactly what i'm doing yet.

I used flood lights pointed down and out. But that might not make everyone happy. They work well.
