my passenger seat slides forward over the stare well cover, and will also turn around, there's pictures in my build

This was my thought. Except I would screw a few pieces of wood together to make a drop in stairwell cover for the passenger's feet and all is well with the world. It could even have some carpet attached to it for bare footin comfort.
