Thomas bus drivers swivel captains chair

gm everyone,
A couple questions please: Wife removed the bus drivers chair, on the floor is a 5 inch tall pedestal (diag attached hopefull), I guess on top of that was the sliding mechanism which I still have. So looking for a swivel chair.
  1. Would the swivel chair sit on the pedestal in the diagram or would it use the sliding mechanism?
  2. Are there swivel chairs that fit the holes indicated in my diagram?
  3. I don't mind buying new, is there a company known for chairs for these types of conversions?

After a lot of thinking on doing the same with my bus I decided that there wasn't enough clearance between the steering wheel and switch panel to allow the seat to swivel and face the "living" area. Plus, if it's an air ride seat, you don't want the air line to get caught , pinched or damaged.

What kind of bus? Many of or members have swapped seats. Yours appears to have some space. Fill out your profile with all of the vehicle details so someone with a like conversion can chime in. Post more pictures.

Mine has no space for a swivel so I didn't answer your question. Welcome to the nut house.

About 28" / 62" (up against the wall)

(3 kid pax seat)

This is an interesting idea I would like to see how to execute it for at least knowledge of how to do it if I were to go this route with my Thomas. I did see another idea of a seat swap on YouTube or Facebook once where the guy replaced the captains chair with a gamer chair and it looked really good.

I have 1999 Thomas MVP RE.
I have a National seat air seat.
They sold me the swivel base for <$100.
Works awesome.
And yes, It doesn't look like there would be room...there is.
