Tires

I currently have low pro 10R22.5s and want to upgrade to 11R22.5s. few questions

1. What are some good cheaper tires
2. are open or closed shoulder tires quieter
3. opinions on recaps
4. can I just put 11s on the rears and leave the fronts (those are still good)
5. how hard is it to do it yourself

Thanks

1- They're all expensive now. Chinese are $300. May as well just pop for new name brand.
2- Open shoulder make more noise. But they have dirt road traction.
3- Recaps are ok, but I'd rather just get virgin tires. Blowouts are nasty and can cause a lot of damage. keep good rubber on your bus!
4- If your bus doesn't have a lowered suspension 11R's should fit just fine. Some buses are low and come with very little clearance for larger than lowpro.
5- How hard is it? that's relative. If you have a really badass impact and air source, and a balancer and lots of big pry bars you may be able to save a couple hundred on getting them mounted. I just go to the cheap truck stop down the road for tires.
