Re: Title/Registration/Code enforcement

Dont wait, Get it done now. Then just wait for this ass to try something and whip-out the papers that prove that the bus is a motorhome and they cant do anything about it.

Before you get him too fired up, keep in mind that in the state of florida it is illegal to have any bus not used to transport children yellow (school bus orange). He could potentially cost you more money then you would like to spend.

This wouldnt effect the dealers, they are not registering or using the bus, that is the buyers responsibility. The dealers may also export many of the units and wouldnt want the added expense when not needed. The guy that is painting my bus pointed this law out to me (not that I was going to paint it "school bus chrome" again). He does quite a few for the farm labor guys.

Re: Title/Registration/Code enforcement

You could probably get away with painting or putting a vinyl stripe down the side of the bus between the rails. If you went this route you may also want to paint over your pupil lights and also remove the school bus markings on the front and rear. I dont know if anyone would mess with you in Florida (maybe a weigh station or DOT if they have nothing else to do) but if you and that guy continually get into it, he could be your downfall.

Re: Title/Registration/Code enforcement

Buy a spray gun, 2 gallons of rustoleum and one gallon of Acetone. Mix down the Rustoleum with 15% Acetone, use the rest of the acetone with a rag to wipe the bus down, then spray the whole thing... take you maybe 2 days...

Or, just buy a Motor Home cover on ebay and cover that puppy...

Great thinking outside the box, but under "close and continuous pursuit" rules the law-person can follow you all the way into Canada.

And don't eat the twinkies in the dog poop bucket!

I had a brother that lived in Fla. He told me that they had regulations on the condition of your garbage cans. I guess thats life in a retirement state , old farts don't have anything to do but find somebody to make miserible. One good thing about old miserible people soon are latter they die, H.O.A.s must be full of old miserible people. Russell
