Towing a Blazer Four Down

I looked at a 48 pass skoolie for sale locally with the n/a 8.2 in it. He was towing a "stacker" enclosed race trailer with two race cars, he said as long as you weren't in a real rush it towed pretty decent.

We towed our Jeep Grand Cherokee with our bus. The Jeep weighs 5500lbs the bus engine is an 8.2L David said it was like it was never back there. Watch your tow bar ratings. The "cut-off" tends to be 5000 lbs. We used the Stowmaster 5000 (tows 6000lb vehicle) because it was a one person hookup. I bought it used (as well as my tow brackets) from www.hitchtrader.com it took a couple of months to find both the tow bar and the right brackets but I have under $500 including shipping invested.

I sometimes pull the F250 behind me. Bus has a older non turbo 7.3.
It doesn't feel like it is back there except for the decreased in get up and go speed.
Truck weighs close to 8000 pounds with everything in it.

I have an automatic transmission with a manual transfer case so no worriers of transmission damage. And use a blue ox towbar. I do the no no and don't have a brake buddy of any kind in the truck to assist in stopping or in case of a break away. Not sure what the laws are but I thought some sort of break away device is required on trailers over 5000 pounds. I could be wrong though.
