Re: Under Carriage Tank Support

Instead of spending money to have someone weld your supports, I suggest putting the money into a wire-feed welder. They are easy to use, and trust me you'll find LOTS of uses once you own one. I bought a bottom end Lincoln 110 many years ago, and have never regretted thew purchase.

I think that is great advice. It is something I have wanted to do for a while now. You can never have enough skills.

Re: Under Carriage Tank Support

From what I've found, those of us that have no access to a welder or a machine are stuck with using metal strapping which comes in a variety of types. Tie downs for mobile homes (tornado thingies) to plumbing strapping. Of course, any other suggestions on how to do it without welding is welcome!

Hey John, have you considered using 55gln food grade barrels? I picked up 4 for $25 each, plus couple 30s and a 15 (turning into a blueboy) for $60 all together.
