What tranny would likely be in this bus. 99 Genesis Transit, DT466, Allison 5sp.
Push button shifter, tell me it's not a 545.

Seller just replied and you are correct, it's a 3060.

Mine has a slightly different screen. It shows max gear on left and actual gear on the right which changes as it shifts.Click image for larger version

What pros or cons or difference can I expect between a 643 and 3060?

OD for one with the possibility of unlocking 6th gear. I chose a bus with a 3060 after reading this site for 2 months. I think from what i have gathered you can't go wrong with either.

My understanding is that the WTEC shifter (push button) could be put on various models... Do I have that incorrect?

I have heard that the push button shifter was available on the 2000 series. I have not seen one yet.

However, the 2000 series was not available in '99.

As far as I know the only transmission you are likely to see in a '99 that is "push button 5 speed" would be an MD-3060.
