I'm technically still converting it until Thursday afternoon. Then I must live in it from Friday on through the winter--haha. So close yet so much to do.

I just want a big diesel powered van to haul my dog and friends around. Seating for 6-8 with somewhere to take a nap and a crap.
So- used school bus!

I use mine as an RV and we use it almost every weekend. We also use it if the power goes out. I also use it to drive to work and back now and then and sometimes on the weekend we take the bus grocery shopping and running errands. I had the bus less than a year and we put over 2500 miles on it!
I don't plan on selling everything and going full time right away. I will continue to work for the next several years since I have a stable job and place to live. If anything changes, then we retire earlier.

The wife and I are not campers as such so we think of our GMC Micro Bird as a cheap motel room on wheels. It's not fancy, nor very big, but it gets us where we want to go and allows us overnight to long weekend accommodation.

my red one is almost like my daily driver ( I put more miles on it than my car.. its also my Rest-O-Mod) "hotrod.. not fast but a toy"..
DEV bus is my mobiole software/hardware Dev lab... when im working on tough projects and need new scenery I install my server racks and test systemns and take off..
my Superior is my Classic.. recently acquired and will be restored to Nearly original. (some parts just arent made anymore like the exact seat vinyl).. (will be painted yellow with all school lights and systems functional.. (to ohio spec) I acquired it as a Church bus that the church replaced with a newer one)..

Brunhilde is my primary residence, purchased simply because rent in this area is OBSCENE! What you can afford, you don't want to live in and what you want to live in you cannot afford.
