What to use as flexible trim around cabinets/walls?

I have heard that it is difficult to match the curve of the ceiling in a bus when making overhead cabinets, walls, etc. and I anticipate that my skills will not yield the kind of tight fit I'd like to see. So I'm hoping to find some sort of flexible moulding type material that I can use to hide the gaps. Anyone have a suggestion of what I could use, and where I could find it?

I have 1/2" manila rope along the intersections of wall & curve. Glued in with clear solicone.
Cheap, cheerful, and "nautical" to boot. (Das boot!).

You might find some of these at Lowes or Home Depot (same brand: Orac Decor and Designers Edge Millwork) . You may even be able to get one of the big box stores to order some in for you (helps to know what you are looking for). I have always found Outwater to have very good prices. But if you know what you are looking for, you can do internet searches to see if you can beat Outwaters prices.

I really like this stuff, it seems perfect for creating a wood-look and yet being flexible. It is a little pricey compared to some other options, but very tempting!

I like this idea too - whimsical, campy, and best of all, cheap!

BTW Sean, I must say, your bus/story was one of my early inspirations in getting into the whole Skoolie thing. I originally wanted that exact model/size bus, but ended up going with the dognose. I'll probably also go with a similar paint scheme. So how come no more updates on your website/blog? And I wondered how you could have a cat travel with you and be outside and not have it run off on you? I have a cat who I think would be a good traveller, but I'm worried she would take off if I let her outside, or at the very least be gone past the time when I'm ready to move on to another location.

Thanks for the kind words DD. I've been parked in the same place for just about a year, so nothing new has been happening in that regard. Plus I have a new project brewing that has been consuming my time, energy and money...but it's under wraps for now. Stay tuned.

The cat seems to know that this is her home base. She has a perimeter of a few hundred feet, and prowls/sleeps out there during the day, coming in for occasional chow and attention. (Sometimes she brings me chow, like last night's mouse...) By sundown she's back inside for the night.
For overnight stops during travel, I don't let her out.

But, after saying all that...we do live in coyote country, and I know there is always the risk that she'll become dinner for a predator that is higher on the food chain. She has always been an indoor/outdoor gal, and I completely empathize with her need for fresh air, sunshine and occasionally a little danger.

That foam moulding is definately flexible, but not flexible enough to follow the curve of the roof of a bus...(don't ask me how I know this, lets just say it has been tried). If you look around at Lowes or HD you will find a vinyl or ABS plastic quarter round moulding in white, these things can be heated up and bent to match the exact curve you are looking for. It might be possible to do that with the foam stuff too, I never tried it with that.

A tip for laying out the roof radius: use cardboard (or a coroplast store sign,mine was Marlboro), trim to fit ,then transfer pattern to cabinet material.

Yeah, I plan on using every bit of above-window space available for cabinets, and I will be making a few walls. So I will definitely be making a template out of cardboard, and probably transferring that onto a more durable plywood template.
