So my genset harness has large connectors on each end. My dilemma is should I cut a big hole in the floor to accept the connector, or cut the wires and utilize a much smaller hole, splice wires back together.
Or, can you get the connectors out of the plug? Are there little plastic tabs holding the connectors in that you can push with a needle and pull out, then reassemble?
I would personally mark each wire (different coloured marker perhaps?) and the connector then pop the connector pins out. Usually you can slide a safety pin between the crimped connector on the wire to compress the detent and pull it out.
