Where is the bus rust belt?

If you want to stay away buses with rust, what states should you avoid?

Thanks.

I would ad Maryland to the list of states that use road salt.

Also, some people on this forum advise against buses from Florida as they may not get the maintenance they need.
Maybe someone with direct knowledge of Florida buses can address this?

Montana doesn't salt the roads. Vehicles here still get rusty, but it takes 30 years, not 10 minutes like in the true rust belt.

Narrowing your search to the anti-rust belt might be simpler: buy a bus from the southwest.
