Nice offer, thanks.
I am looking for maintenance information. Filters, fluids, millage vs. fluid/filter changes, visual inspections anything an owner/operator needs to know about proper maintenance, troubleshooting and exterior parts that may be replaced on the road or at home. I also have been watching Ebay, the 643 manuals are fair priced at around $20.00. I figured maybe instead of purchasing a 643 manual I might in the future just ask the above questions here. However a comprehensive troubleshooting section would likely be handy to have so I will do as you did and pick one up off of Ebay this winter while the bus sits.
I will also need to find the DT 466 manual as I do want to do some adjusting addressing the governor and horsepower. The fellow from the school district said the engine was dialed in at 210 horsepower, I would like to adjust it up to 250 HP. I believe this will make driving the vehicle more enjoyable and I do not believe I will ever put enough miles on the bus to excessively wear the engine . From what I have read I think it's fuel economy can be improved 2 to 3 miles per gallon and I would also enjoy the increase in performance while not running with the pedal on the floor. I would like to find out if I may be able to do these adjustments myself without hiring a mechanic. And I will need maintenance and troubleshooting information for the engine as well.
