Wood Stoves

I've read alot of people use wood stoves to heat their skoolies, but then read that most insurance companies won't insure a skoolie with a wood heater. So how do people with wood stoves get insurance? I want a wood stove, but also want to make sure I'm covered by insurance.

I think that most folks install the wood stove after they get insurance. The insurance companies refuse to write a policy if you have a wood stove and if they find out later they will likely send you a letter telling you to remove it or they will cancel your policy..

I expect you will hear from some that the insurance companies will try and deny an accident claim if they find out you have a wood stove. That is not true.

I am going to follow my agents advice. Install the wood stove after I switch to RV insurance and accept that I may have to take it out if I get caught.

Denying a claim is what I'm worried about.
