Question Workhorse Rails and Framing

Two questions:

1. I'm not seeing any bolts or screws to be able to take off the rails on the floor and sides as pictured, are they a part of the frame and unremovable?

2. After taking off the wood flooring it seems there is only a thin layer of sheet metal where the fireproof foam from under the bus is attached to. If I remove the wood flooring what are some thin, sturdy options I could replace it with?
