Yellow Snot

What is this yellow snot around my bluebird floor?

Wow!

Where do I get some, just in case I need some tenacious sealing sticking goop?

And is there an easy way of removing it?

I have been using a heat gun for a little while now, and I think it might be helping. Definitely melts the stuff, but then it gets crazy sticky and gooooooey.

Taking the rubber off of one of the rear wheel wells. I’m going to finish this one for spite.

The rest of them are getting trimmed about 2” up. Enough to get the yellow stuff from around them, then they can get boxed over!

If you think the yellow snot is bad, wait till you get to the dried green boogers.

The stuff pulls off pretty easily around the wheel wells and where there is a smooth surface to release from. Unfortunately the straights along the length of the bus are not smooth because they are tack welded every few inches. My best effort’s can not get it all out. So I am making a reasonable effort and then moving on.

Hoping to get the rest of the (caulk?) stuff up today and get ready to Ospho.

Okay: I have confirmation that the yellow snot is seam sealer.

Perhaps no one took me seriously because I called it snot, I apologize.

But it is all out! And the floor is treated with Ospho. I need to wash it off the second half, but otherwise it is ready for paint.
