The tires are no longer mounted on the bus, bus is long gone, they are still mounted on the rims and still have the balancing powder in them.
Thanks.

Asking 1200.00 for the tires I would take 1000 firm no lower please dont ask, I need cash or some other sort of secure funds the tires dont leave here until I or my bank is 100% sure the funds are indeed good, I accept pay pal but you pay all paypal fees.
Not trying to sound harsh or like an ass but this world is so full of morons I simply have no choice but to spell it out and be really really blunt.
I have no idea what rims they are if their is a way to tell let me know I will go look, I would be happy to remove the rims from the tires if you like its really easy to mount and dismount these tires with basic tire irons, I will be keeping all the balancing powder if I remove the rims.
I will help with shipping that includes me helping the shipper load them on the truck, I live outside of town and have had semis pickup and deliver here many times, I dont have a fork truck or a loading dock they are easily loaded by hand.
Any questions please ask.

Hey no problem join the pile of recaps you see littering this great nations hwys but really I think I have these sold for the asking price was talking to a guy late yesterday says he is 90% sure he boss wants them they have about a dozen different pieces of equipment these will fit, if he dont want them he knows about 4 other business owners he will ask.
Only people complain about the age of these tires seems to be the people who want to low ball me on the price none of the truck drivers seem to have a issue with the age and give me strange looks each time I tell them they are 7 years old.

Hi
No sorry these tires have been sold a local guy from a trucking firm bought them for 900.00 cash they are in service on his fleet, he called me back asked if I had access to any more at that price, wish I had 4 sets of them could have sold them all, another guy called the next day after I sold these and offered me 1000.00 for the set.
Lesson learned never try to sell tires on a school bus oriented site sell them on craigs list.
While I am updating on the tires I might as well update the status of my bus conversion project, stripped out my bus and kept all the stuff I had bought for it new, RV toilet, Kitchen dinette set, RV couch, RV entry door/ 4000watt RV generator/ RV a/c unit with heat option, holding tanks, kitchen sink, fridge etc then drove the bus to the scrap yard where they gave me 1500 bux cash for it, removed all 6 tires and rims and loaded them into my pickup truck, later sold the tires for 900.00 been lucky to sell it converted for 2500 bux in the same time frame.
Bus ran perfect all the way to the crusher was a shame to see them destroy a perfectly good running bus but it was a time/money thing.
Was a great project and a ton of fun I miss it put over 40k miles on the bus I paid 800.00 for might do another conversion in the future but right now my current 1300.00 RV has at least another 60k miles life left in it once its used up might seek out another bus (diesel this time) and convert another.
Thanks everybody that makes this site so great thanks for all the help I hope you all enjoy your schoolies as much as I did, really miss mine

The one thing you need to show is the DOT date code on the tire. This tells them when the tire was made. It is a 4 digit code. An example would be 2407 means it was made the 24th week of 2007.
Tread depths are measured in 32nds. This tire comes stock with 19/32. This is a very very very common tire used on busses. They are a all wheel position tire so you can swap them from front to rear with no issues.
Hope this helps. I just got out of the commercial tire busniess.
Good luck on the sale

Hi thanks for the info, not finding any 4 digit code on the tires everything is more than 4 and or is a combination of letters and numbers.
I bought the tires in may of 2007 they were new then if that helps.
19/32 = .593 so they have .036 or less than 1/32 wear.
How far can these be worn before they re-groove them?
|
Steer tires must have 4/32 or more...others 2/32. Realistically, these are 100,000+ mile tires on a skoolie!
