Just found this on Craigslist. Too far away for me but we need another old bus on here. http://santafe.craigslist.org/cto/3526341961.html

One of the few good things I have found about NM is the amount of vintage autos in decent shape that you can find out her... many are still driving down the road. That makes me happy and terrified at the same time.

Re: 1946 Chevy in New Mexico

When I was driving I saw two vintage buses in Moriarty, NM in what appears to be a wrecking yard for trucks, never happened to be open when I went through, and no name on the building that I could see. If you're seriously looking it might be worth some digging into.
Seen here where the green arrow is.

If you go to these coordinates in Google maps. 35.005762, -106.025989 and zoom all the way in you can see that both have some sort of narrow nose with black fenders.

Re: 1946 Chevy in New Mexico

Hey Somewhere --- looks to be a real gold mine! Many thanks! If you use the Bing map in the "Birdseye View" it gives you a look at an angle rather than just straight down. I zoomed in as far as possible and it does appear that there are several older skoolies on that lot including a couple that are consistent with war era Chevy bus & truck profiles. I also scanned the area nearby and found the names of a couple of businesses that I will call on Monday to see if I can get the name & number for the yard. If so, I'll post them here so anyone hunting parts can give'em a call.

Cool resource, thanks again.
