1969 Ford/Superior 66 psngr School Bus for sale

I am offering my 1969 school bus, located in Tucson, AZ for asking price of $1000, which is negotiable. I have to either sell it, or finish my conversion project and license it withint 30 days, or pay a big city fine. By about 1971, due to safety regulations, school busses became several thousand pounds heavier, so this one is relatively light. GVW 20,500. Seats are out, safety lights covered, and I am in the process of painting.

Excellent mechanical condition, only 85,000 miles. Legendary Ford 360 MD engine, 5 speed stick, dual vacume breaks, no rust. Tires are almost new. I purchased the bus from a small rural elementary school in AZ 11 years ago, who were using it as a backup bus for about 10 years, so it had been kept up well, and has low mileage. I spent 2 years waiting for my perfect bus to convert.

This is the perfect bus for a do-it-yourself converter. With the gas engine and no air brakes, it's easy to maintain and work on yourself when needed. The stick shift makes it economical to keep, since they rarely need rebuilding, unlike auto-transmissions. The bus is great for boondocking. Low gear is a stump-puller. You can backroad with this type of machine unlike few others.

Congratulations!

Sort of, I mean. Congratulations on getting twice your first asking price and getting out of the spot with the city, but sorry you had to let the bus go.

Hope you can get another soon!
