I'm real tempted by this. The rear ac is ducted and is like a reefer unit. It needs tires and I don't know that I could live with the 6v53 it has, although the hp/torq numbers are up with modern school engines at 210/440 with what I found searching. Anyone driven anything with that engine? He says about 100k on the bus, tires have tread but weather checked.

Front engine AND a Detroit. LOL, wow, that ought to be nice at about 60mph.

I think they call them screaming Jimmy's for a reason. It's a two stroke diesel. I think they have two speeds, off and foot to the floor. Seems like a nice enough bus for a decent price but I'm not sure about that engine.

Detroits are great, but in the front its gunna be loud! 2 strokes are more maintenance than a 4 stroke. They get hot quicker too.

I could just wear my CVC helmet and pretend it's a big M113

Better than a gas job no matter which way you slice it.... Personally I think they're nice and smooth with great power delivery. Kinda loud i guess - but less clatter than a cat. I guess you have to be a bit of a hot-rodder to really appreciate these engines. Those big windows are awesome.
