1984 Bluebird Wanderlodge FC35 FOR SALE

This one is like the "OG Skoolie" as we like to call her! Priced to reflect her pristine condition and road-readiness at $40k. This is NOT a project bus!

Once in a lifetime opportunity to own the famed “Mother Ship”, a 1984 Bluebird Wanderlodge FC35

Whether you want to take your band on the road, keep this in an indoor climate controlled storage facility as a collectors piece or live and travel in it full time, this coach is ready to go!

The paint is excellent condition and the interior is amazing! Not only a true beauty to look at, this rare gem is an absolute blast to drive! She starts up on the first crank, purrs like a kitten, doesn’t burn oil and can still keep her speed up the hills.

Michelin XZE2 tires (approx $6)
Flex Steel white leather driver and passenger seats
Hydraulic leveling jacks recently rebuilt and work like new
Black & White backup camera still works perfect
Central vacuum
2 roof AC units (15k BTU each)
Two full size hanging closets
Third closet has been converted to a pantry
Tons of overhead storage throughout
Bathroom flooring upgraded to white hexagon tiles
New Therford full-size porcelain toilet
Pex plumbing
8kw Power Tech diesel generator shares the fuel tank with the motor
Interior lighting upgraded to “warm white” LED lighting throughout except 4 lights
Custom made high quality mattresses only 7 months old
Belts and hoses replaced within last 18 months
Drivetrain retarder works like new
Drivetrain, air suspension, air brakes and all major components in excellent condition

The build quality here is really something special and it’s insulated to keep you cozy in the sub-freezing temps as well. All steel chassis and steel body.*

And with only 154,000 original miles on her, she still has tons of life in her!

Ready for immediate sale. Clear title in hand. Serious inquiries only, please. Priced right for a quick sale!

That is a nice looking Wanderlodge.

The interior is a bit dated but looks very clean.

I wish you the best of luck with the sale. However, this forum may not bet your best bet as far as getting $40k for a 35 year old Bluebird. We tend to be a bit frugal here

If you have not tried already, I would suggest the Wanderlodge owners group and Facebook. There are more folks there likely to want an already converted bus or a factory built Wanderlodge. Deeper pockets as well.

I welcome it.
Its a much better buy than ANY homebuilt rig. Especially when they want 50k for these homebuilt rigs.

Thanks for the feedback, Steve!

We do have it on RVTrader, Facebook and WOG but thought we’d list here as well in case someone is interested from this community.

Yes, the interior (and whole coach) is “dated” because a majority of it is original or replaced mid-90’s but trying to keep to its original character. This is definitely not the right bus for someone wanting time create a modern looking bus...but who knows!

Appreciate your response and wish you and this whole community nothing but peace and happiness!

Pretty much all of the 1980s FC Wanderlodges had 3208s. Big question would be if it has the turbo.

I love how the Wanderlodges are built wish my skoolie could look like that someday. I especially love the curved overhead cabinets that give it the airliner feel.

GL with the sale

I was looking at the skid marks on the pavement just wondering...... Then, nah, it's too classy for that...

I mean no offense, but if you’re only asking $8k for yours then most likely the main thing ours have in common is the name on the side of the coach. Ours is incredibly well maintained, documented, upgraded and is in neatly showroom- new condition

I take no offense, it needed work when I bought it, still needs work, inside is original, pretty worn, only thing that was changed is it now has a turbo 3208 instead of the original NA 3208
