That's one heck of bus. An 855 Big Cam coupled to a 10 speed Road Ranger. That's in the league of a class 8 semi.
The 855 is a great engine: sturdy, reliable, and easy to work on. Just get to know how to adjust the valves, bridges, and injectors.

Thanks it's just been tuned up by a older diesel dog from the day. He also specializes in Detroit Diesel 2 Strokes. Not many left at least around here.

My town, in part, is fish boat world, and many of them are old. The '71 still lives in the bottom of many the boat. I would assume there are quite a few 855's floating around too.
I'd buy your bus in a hot second, but I already got one, and it's got a Cat 3208.

BC=Big Cam
I can't make out the factory CPL, but the rebuild was apparently to CPL 0329. That's the Cummins Parts List corresponding to a 300hp Big Cam 3 motor. Whether its actually that is not provable, but its unlikely somebody would rebuild the motor and then write a different CPL on it.
If done right, its a great match to the coach, which because of the mid-engine layout and side radiator probably can't cool much more power than that in a motor. I've read that 350hp is the limit of this cooling system. The jacket around the turbo is a great idea. Really looks like somebody knew what they were doing.
If it were mine, I'd probably wrap the first 6 feet of exhaust tubing with insulated exhaust wrap tape as well, just to get that much more heat away from there. Super cool bus with a perfect engine and transmission. I would probably also add a 100hp methanol/water kit for occasional use, y'know, like dusting a shiny Prevo from a stoplight.
Love this bus...

No problem, Tom covered it, just a abbreviation for the engine designation.
