1988 GMC Wayne Lifeguard For Sale

$6500

We have a new baby and do not have time to finish the conversion. Great starter project for couple with little building experience. Sad to see her go, but hopefully to a great home who can finish and get many years of use from her.

Not an expert, but here is what I know about her:

• diesel engine runs great
• all mechanical
• Allison transmission
• air brakes
• new starter and new batteries
• all seats have been removed
• registered as an RV already
• low mileage
• new tires
• little to no rust
• freshly painted white interior
• window unit a/c installed above back door
• sub-floor, moisture barrier and vinyl plank flooring.
• some interior construction started, but is still a blank canvas

Thanks Christopher.

Yeah it really is an amazing looking bus. Very little has actually been done to the body short of the hole cut for the window unit ac. Just a clean and sealed interior.

Everything else is original and still in working order.

im looking for one pretty. much original though.. a shorty preferred bvut a GMC with an 8.2 is one i'd take.. but the window A/C body hole is a deal killer for me... im more a bus ehtusiast / collector and not so much into making my own conversion.

this bus will make a great one for someone doing a conversion.. waynes are well built busses and that GMC platform is a good one..

Another example of folks plopping their sale on the site and vanishing. I'm starting to think busses for sale should be a paid service. Maybe then Sellers would actually feel invested in what they do. And display some diligence. There needs to be more credibility and with that the site will become a reliable resource. There have been two buses listed on this site of which I was very interested. (In the last three weeks) Neither to my knowledge have been sold. And multiple contacts by me to them have resulted in only wasted time.

To be fair, this thread was posted in 2019. People really need to read. My guess is, it sold through other means and the seller simply forgot to update this listing. Not everyone subscribes to threads, even ones they create themselves.

Well to be even fairer. There are three buses I have either offered on or messaged without anything in terms of a response.
I guess it's just my excessive expectation.
