1989 IHC Short Bus

I have an 89 IHC Shortbus that is registered as a Motorhome and has MH on the title..... I bought this recently from a small time dealer here in Florida and they got it changed to MH for me in the title process... Cost me 400 bucks extra but its done.

My Craigslist add = 89 IHC Short Bus with A/C

International S-Series "Schoolmaster"
S1700
IDI 7.3L T444E Powerstroke Engine
444 cu in (7.3 L) V8
170 hp (127 kW; 172 PS)@3300RPM

Allison AT545 automatic transmission

98k miles
bought new and owned and maintained by county till sold at auction
was used for Sheriffs youth ranch

Has lots of new parts on it including front and rear aftermarket air conditioning, Alternator, shocks, brakes, tires, definately a well maintained unit.

I bought this to do a MH conversion and just have too many things on my plate at the moment so I am looking to sell it.

Runs and drives like a dream.....

$4000.00 or trade for a diesel dually I can pull my jeep with....

Central Florida

Still trying to figure out to add a pic......

Oooohh.. That's a pretty bus.

One thing: the engine in that bus is probably a naturally aspirated IDI 7.3l, not a Powerstroke or T444e (same block and came out in the later 90s) unless an engine swap has taken place.

....
You can't have it be an IDI and a T444e, yes they both are 7.3 l but one is electronic and one is mechanical without a turbo and you defiantly don't have a power stroke! They used a different computer and were only in ford pickups!

And the idi and the t444e don't go to 3300 rpm only the ford did that.

no its not a powerstroke and I am not a bus guru or a diesel mechanic...... Sorry for the misinformation....as for the 170hp @ 3300 rpm... thats the specs listed..most of the buses I have seen only turn 2700... this one is no different
