1992 Thomas Bluebird Partially Converted

Last month, I bought a really neat 1992 Thomas Bluebird already partially converted with intentions of finishing it to live in full time. Unfortunately, unexpected life situations have caused me to have to put this project to the side (i.e. I thought I would have a solid 6 or so months to finish the project, but now I need to move in 2 months and definitely won't be able to get it done in time.)

I'm asking $2,500 (willing to negotiate) for this awesome bus that already has:

-hardwood floors
-propane tank attached under bus with hookups inside
-solar panels attached on roof, inverter and control panel already installed
-remote hookup for electrical panel
-propane stove
-propane refrigerator
- 2 new engine batteries
- 2 batteries for solar power included, but not hooked up
- low miles (about 70,000)
- plenty of wood and pvc piping for future projects
-small potbelly wood stove

I have already posted pictures of the bus on skoolie.net (right when I bought it), but for some reason I am having difficulty attaching photos to this post currently. This is the only post I've made on skoolie thus far, so hopefully it is easy to find. I am also extremely willing to text pictures of the bus.

It would be wise to give specifics on the bus. Engine, trans, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion: It's automatic. Please feel free to ask anything else! I'll upload more recent pictures as soon as possible.

Hmm... I'm tempted to ask if you'd be willing to negotiate monthly payments until that amount is paid off... given that I live on SSI. It'd take me roughly six months @ $500 each after next month to get that taken care of, as I have other obligations next month.

Would you be willing to hold the bus until it's fully paid for? That way it protects you and ensures you're not getting screwed over until it's paid for, and it'd also probably provide you with additional funds until I've got it paid and can take over.

Hard wood floors?

Or laminate floors?

KerioD- I have a few potential buyers coming to check it out this weekend. I'll contact you if it's still available after a while. I am hoping to go ahead and get it off my hands, though.

Nat_Ster- The floors are hardwood.

Alishad- The bus is 40ft, automatic, and the engine is a caterpillar. I've still been unsuccessful at uploading pictures on this thread. Feel free to private message me to exchange contact info. I'll be happy to text you the pictures!

Try Imgur instead.

Just upload to imgur, no account registration needed, copy/paste the links it gives you and paste them here.

Your bus looks very nice... and blue! I saw the pics you'd posted in your intro thread.

Understood on the buyers. Hopefully you can get it off your hands... but personally, I'd prefer the bus stay available for me. ;P

I'll continue checking back here from time to time to check and see if you've sold it.

Is the title for a motorhome/RV or a bus?

Hi ScallyWagon,

How well does the bus run, tires, etc. I am interested, and your bus looks good so far.

Thanks,

Darryl

Does it run? How does it drive? Clear title? Can you tell me what type of Cat engine it has and what type of automatic transmission?

I am very interested in purchasing your Skoolie. If it has not sold by the end of this month please let me know. My sister is having a baby next week, and family is priorty. If it hasn't sold by then I'll try to make it there to look at it. Thanks for keeping me in mind.

Hey amigo.

If that bus is in good MECHANICAL condition, I'll fly up from here in FL and pick that mamajama up. You can shoot me a PM or an email and let me know where it's at, and of course maybe a few more details. I've got cash in hand if it's what I need. ;)

Best,

-Ape
