1993 blue bird tc2000 handy bus***never a skoolie***

Hello!

My Name Is Jeff.

I've been restoring all types of vehicles for over 45 years, mainly survivors & have owned over a dozen motor coaches & buses.

I recently acquired some property & I'm selling this Wonderful Bird to be able to make some improvements to the property & to be able to move there.

I have a really nice 1993 Blue Bird TC2000 Forty Foot "Handy Bus" that WAS NEVER A SCHOOL BUS.

It was owned by a Non-Profit Orginazation in Tennessee since they purchased it in 1997 when it had 42,000 Actual Miles.

It just turned over to 125,308.9 Actual Miles & it would be an Excellent candidate for a conversion.

It Has A Cummins 5.9L Turbo & An Allison AT545 Automatic.

(I've had a dozen or more of the AT545's & have NEVER had a single issue with any of them, EVER.)

The Axle Ratio Is: 4.78

The Subfloor Has Been Removed & I have 2 Gallons Of Corroseal For The Floor.

The Like New Virgin Goodyear G149 RSA 10R22.5 Radials Have 3/4" Tread Above The Indicator, If Not More.

It Has A New 8-D Battery.

The Tranny Fluid Looks Like You Stuck The Dipstick In A New Quart Of Fluid.

The Factory Tinted Windows Are ALL PERFECT.

It Is Mssing A Front/Top Marker Lens, As Can Be Seen In The Photos, But THAT IS ALL That's "Wrong" With The Exterior.

The Exhaust System Looks Excellent.

The Entry Door Is Lockable & I Have Two Sets Of Keys, Which Is The Same One For The Fuel Door & Battery Compartment.

There Isn't Enough Rust On The Under Carriage & Exterior To Fill A Cup 1/4-1/2 Full.

IT IS 77" FROM THE METAL FLOOR TO THE CEILING, IN THE CENTER.

The Interior Is 90.5" From Side To Side.

I Have Several Photos Posted In An Album At The Follwing Link:

Thank You For Your Time.

Hello!

I Did A Little Detailing On This Side Today.

(Haven't Done The Roof Yet.)

That Was Just Using Car Wash Liquid & Wiping It Down With A Damp Towel.

It Hasn't Even Been Rinsed, But It Looks Simply Marvelous & Is Shining Like A New Dime.

Wait Until I Wax It & Take Photos When It's Not Totally Overcast Outside...

This is an amazing bus for somebody

Wow, amazing bus. For somebody looking for a FE flat nose / cab over engine / your preferred term this is a great condition bus with a good engine and trans combo for our needs.

Some people like those FEs, a lot. And some other people think they're too noisy in front and have driveshafts that are too long. It's a personal thing.

1993 blue bird "handy bus" forty foot bus, that was never a school bus

Hello!

I hope everybody is well.

Yesterday, I climbed up on the roof of the Old Bird & spent 3.5-4 hours, non-stop, scrubbing the mold & grime off it. But I haven't been able to rinse it off yet & there's a pretty thick chalky looking coating on it in the photos I added, that were taken a few mintes ago.

I had to push down on the RV brush as hard as I could, making twenty passes if not more, on it everywhere.

This is at 45° & a constant 5-10+ mile an hour wind.

I've been off the grid for going on 9 years & have to get my water in jugs, which is a 12 mile roundtrip.

*That may give you all an idea of how much I love buses.

(I Once Spent 6 Weeks Hand Sanding/Polishing The Stainless On My '64 MC-5 Challenger)...

I'm not trying to get any sympathy here but, I had open heart surgery in 2012 & it totally wiped me out & I basically lost everything.

I've been staying on a friends property, in a 10x20 timber frame style cabin I built a few years ago, from the proceeds of Having to sell my first Silver Eagle, an early 70's model, that took me 35 years to be able to get. I had to sell it within 6 months, to be able to survive.

I have no utilities, at all, except a generator to make coffee & heat up/cook with when I can keep gas in it.

I have no electricity, water, heat, a/c, plumbing, tv, land line etc.

My only source of income all this time has been $2.6K Per Year of food stamps & recycling things & selling what I can on Craigslist, which has all but now became a joke.

I have been able to get online with my Safe Link phone.

>But, I Am More Fortunate Than Some People.<

It was 27° inside when I woke of this morning but the sun is shining now & it's 34° now as I write this. (A veritable heat wave, lol.)

My love for animals has caused me to adpot/rescue several K-9's & I have a kennel full, I mean, it's a full time job keeping them fed. But, they eat before I do & I've spent my EBT on them several times.

I was able to acquire several acres in Hohenwald, from some of the money my mother left me when she died in 2015. (Thanks Mom!)

I need to sell this Wonderful Bird to be able to improve the 1.5K+ Yards of right of way going to my property, put in a driveway, build the new kennel, etc.

Like I said, I'm not trying to get sympathy, I just wanted you to know what's up.

I have acquired, restored & re-homed at least a half dozen vehicles to get the bus.

What I traded for the bus was worth more than $7.5K, but I had that price on it, which couldn't even begin to cover my labor on it, or the other vehicles.

I'd Like To Get $8.5K For This Wonderful Bird But At This Juncture I'll Consider Reasonable Offers.

All I'm Trying To Do Is To Do Right By My Dingos, Make Them A Better Place & Get Moved To My Place, Before My Heart Punes Out For The Last Time.

I Haven't Been Able To Register The Bird In My Name Yet, Due To Lack Of Funds, But Will Do So Immediately Upon It's Sale.

I Have References, Lol & Will Post A Link To My YouTube Channel Below.

This Will Give You A Pretty Good Idea Of What I Love To Do.

I Sincerely Apologize For The eBook & It Being Somewhat Negative, But It Is The Truth.

I Hope Everybody Has A Happy New Year.

(It Is Thru Tear Stained Eyes That I Write This As I Hate Not Being Able To Keep It. But It Deserves Better Than I Can Provide For It Now.)

Hello!

I just spent 5+ hours scrubbing the other side & went over it at least 10 times.

I then did the wheels again & scrubbed the Goodyears down too.

I still haven't rinsed it off yet, at all, but will wash it again when I can rinse it off.

Then, The fun begins...

I'm going to wax it by hand, every square inch, including the numerous windows, lol.

Then, I'll dress the tires & take it for a short cruise.

I hope anybody that may be on the road at that time has their sunglasses nearby, lol.

I just took these photos about 20 minutes ago.

Y'all Have A Good One.

I Finally Finished Scrubbing Down The Bird & Spent 40-50 Hours Doing It.

It Still Hasn't Been Rinsed Off Yet, At All.

~I MADE A TENTATIVE DEAL ON IT TODAY & IT MAY VERY WELL BE GOING TO ROOST IN TEXAS SOON.~

ANOTHER QUALITY JOB BY DRY CREEK CUSTOMS.

I Took That Photo This Afternoon.

The Bird Is Still Available

Hello!

I Was Contacted By The Potential Buyer This Morning & He Wont Be Able To Make It Here For 2 Months Or So.

So, The Bird Is Still Available.

I'm Open To Reasonable Offers But Don't Low Ball Me, Lol.

*Get As Close To $7K As You Can & We Will Talk.

(The Tires Cost Half Or More Of My Asking Price.)

I'm Going To Start Removing The Surface Rust On The Floor, To Get It Ready To Seal, Instead Of Just Sealing Over It.

Have A Good One.

I'll take $7K CASH for it.

The tires cost more than half that amount.

(The price will go up as more work is done to it.)

Delivery is not available, it must be picked up in Tennessee.

This Wonderful Bird Has Been Rehomed.

I Really Hate To See It Go But I Made A Deal With A Friend Last Year, On Two Other Motor Coaches & Don't Want It Just Sitting Around.

One Is A Totally Awesome Blue Bird Charter, That Was Owned Since New By A College.

It Is Absolutely Gorgeous & Has A Really Nice Paint Job With Some Pretty Wild Graphics, Lol.

It Has 160K Actual Miles On It, A Series 60 Detroit, An Allison Automatic, Air Ride, Alcoas With New Tires, An A/C Generator, Central Heat/Air, Etc.

The Seats Are Still In It, In Perfect Condition, Along With Several TV's/Monitors.

It Has A Tag Axle & I Think It's 45'.

The Dash Has 100 Gauges/Buttons & It Wraps Around You Like An Organ In A Vincent Price Or Borus Carloff Movie, Lol.

I May Make It Into A High End Conversion But I May Keep It As A Charter & Put It Up For Sale For Around $25K, After I've Completely Gone Over It.

The Other Coach Is A Late 80's Prevost, Le Mirage I Believe, That Has Been Languishing For 10 Years, Patiently Waiting To Be Rescued.

But, It's Kind Of Rough & Had A Conversion Started At One Time, That Will All Have To Come Out.

(I Cannot Stand "Fixing Other Peoples Fixings" Lol.)

It Also Has Alcoas, A Tag Axle, A 6-Speed Manual Tranny & A Large A/C Generator That May Be A 4-Banger Kubota. (I Haven't Even Looked At It Yet) It May Also Be 45'.

I'll Try To Dig Up A Photo Of The Old Girl, That Has 649K+ Miles On It. But, It Will Fire Right Up & Runs Well.

Now, If It'll Still Air Up After This Many Moons Have Passed, Will Be Another Story.

When I First Stepped Aboard It, I Face Planted Spider Web After Spider Web Walking To The Rear Of It, Hi, Hi, Hi.

It Was A Little Overwhelming & Anti Climatic, But That Was Mainly From Seeing Somebody Elses Crappy, Shoddy Work.

But, True Love Is Blind...

That's My '64 MC-5 Challenger Sitting Beside It, After I Spent 6+ WEEKS Hand Polishing It With Fine Sand Paper....
