1996 schoolie for sale 5500 OBO
I have been trying to get rid of my machine so I can downgrade to something my size.
It is a Thomas, full size, special built. It has 78 inches of headroom compared to other Thomas busses. It runs but after 5 miles, if you try to accelerate, it dies. Because I don't have the place to work on it and park it, I am just wanting it out of my hands. According to what some of my mechanic said when they looked at it, it has something to do with the coolant system in the transmission. It may mean a simple coolant flush or it may mean you need to replace a sensor. I don't know for sure and like I said, I don't have the time for it. Currently the odometer is showing 148,000 mi. It has a CAT engine with an Allison transmission. I will try to make sure that I include a picture of my notes so you can see all the engine specs and information about that. It has some rust on the frame and a few other things here and there that would need taken care of but all in all, it is an amazing bus that would give you lots of use if you can figure out the problem with the engine.
It has a rebuilt starter as of this year, new batteries, a bunch of new fuses, and nearly brand new tires.
It was originally an activity bus for a school in Maryland and was bought by a church but since the church was going to regular vans, they were selling it and I bought it. It has registration and is titled as an rv. All of the hard work has been done but because of how simple the accommodations are, it can still have the ability to be customized as you want.
