1997 IHC/AmTrans 4x4 bus
We have a a 1997 IHC/AmTrans with a Tulsa Truck four wheel drive conversion.
It has a DT466 diesel engine and Allison MT643A automatic transmission with a 2-speed transfer case.
The bus is an 11-row bus with skirt mounted luggage compartments between the axles on both sides and behind the axles on both sides.
Asking price is $20,000.00. This bus has been in our inventory for some time so any reasonable offer would be entertained.
The bus is currently at our location in Libby, MT.
Contact me @ 253-929-9475. The phone rings through to my home office so I am available before and after normal business hours and on weekends.

Why is it still $20,000 when literally nothing has been done to it to prepare it for conversion? I've seen fully-converted, newer models that were less than this.

Ikr, even my toaster is megapixel capable these days.
I'm not going to rag on your sale, however I will point out that there are several companies willing to the 4x4 conversion for $10k or less including parts. And I know you can get a similar bus for under 10k.
Also you might want to include some more details.

Settle down folks
I will say it is a little high, not much though IMO
the front axle, T-case and tranny are 10k plus easy and a $3500 bus thats near 14k w/o the work to install suspension, steering and parts (which includes a couple custom length drive shafts
and unmolested means nothing to tear out and nothing hidden in walls and such
Good luck with the sale, and post back some better pictures for our archive please
thanks
ETA I am not associated with seller, and since it's in "stock" for awhile, the price is probably negotiable a little, maybe but not more than a few grand I would say

You people crack me up. First, $20,000 is the asking price. Second, if the asking price were $5, some of you would still be bitching about the price being too high. The fact that the bus is 4wd seems to be lost on some of you. Why not call Tulsa and ask them about converting your bus to 4wd. After you are done with your heart attack, come back here and tell us what you think. This bus is not for everyone. It is for someone that has a special need for this type of vehicle.
It's funny how some of you that don't have a bus or don't know what it costs to fix a bus will pay top dollar for rust bucket with holes the size of softballs but will complain about price when someone post a solid rust free bus with top of the drivetrain and low miles for $4500. Some of you need to wake up. The days of every used bus selling for $800 are gone. I watch prices all the time. You can score the occasional deal now and then but dirt cheap buses are in the past.

P.S. The pictures do suck and as a business, you should be ashamed of posting them. Go to the local elementary school and hire a kid with an Iphone to take pictures for you.
Now this is an example of constructive criticism.
