entry doors look heavy!
is that the bus you took the air mechanism out of or was that RYO? I need to adjust the door on red.. one side doesnt close as hard as the other.. causes an annoying whistle on the road sometimes..

This ones got the mechanism working and in place.
RYO still has its door, sorta. But it really needs an RV door.
The doors seem to weigh maybe 60-80 lbs? IDk its hard to tell. They're heavy though for sure. Stout!

Spent the morning doing some more sanding, filled in a couple holes from deleted trim and stuff, and then went to work on the other bus.
Got a guy coming sunday to look at the shorty, seems like a really nice guy. They're filming a reality show and buying the bus is going to be in it apparently. Should be interesting.
He said to hold the bus and he'll take it, so we'll see what happens sunday. I'll believe it when I have the cash in my hand.
I'm gonna miss this bus. Its really a sweet one, but I've got lots of other stuff going on and I don't want a nice bus like this to sit. Wish there were a way I could keep the tires, rear end, and air ride for a later bus project someday.

I think its in this thread somewhere.
15+ feet from the back side of the drivers seat to the back door. 78" headrooom. 90" wide inside.
on price- yeah I looked around at the prices locally and tried to offer it for a reasonable price. The tires are REALLY nice. Firestones on front and Goodyears on the rear. All have 5k miles on them and date codes from 14/15.

Yeah, until I have money in my hand its for sale. A guy who runs a surf company is "coming with cash to buy it" today. He sounds like a really great dude, and he's super friendly.
I was a bit flexible on the price till I spent nearly two weeks on paint prep and body work. He sounds like he's really going to buy it, but we'll see.
Its more or less ready for paint now. A bit of sanding left. To PROPERLY prep a bus for paint is a ton of work.
I'll admit- I'm REALLY gonna miss this shorty a whole lot. If I weren't super serious about some goals I'm trying to accomplish I'd be keeping this one for sure. SUCH A NICE SETUP! High headroom, highway gears, and air ride will be missed, for sure.
Neil Young wrote this song about his old Harley, I believe, but every time I sell a vehicle I love I think of it-

But I'm not into Thomas buses. They're good buses, just not for me. I prefer the IC/Amtran looks. BB is my second choice.

IDK where to put this, but for anyone who followed along when Eddie got sick I thought I'd let yall know he's in Hospice now. We paid a visit yesterday. He's surrounded by family and friends.
In true "Ed style" he was still trying to make it to a battle of the bands while Hospice were coming to pick him up. His movie about "Bunyan" isn't finished. He had so much more to give, so many more things to do in his life. Seeing him in that bed... well I just hope he can be comfortable and loved while he goes this this final ordeal.
Ed is such an AMAZING individual, he's gonna be missed BIG TIME.
Folks- if there's anything you want in life don't wait till tomorrow. Follow your dreams and your heart. Life is too short and you never know when your time will be up. Eddie did just that, and his impact on those who know him will never be forgotten. He really did touch the lives of all who knew him.
Thanks for the kind words from you folks during all this, and thanks for the love and support.

Hey dude,
Just saw the post now. Sorry to hear about Edie.
(I don't use Facebook, so I guess I'll vent here as well)
+1 on do with your life what you want!
Face and conquer your fears!
Honestly man, I'm the most stressed out now taking care of two babies all day (stay home dad).
But I tell you, I can die tomorrow and I am doing what I wanted to do. To be the best possible dad and husband that I can be.
Peace to all. Do what you want doesnt necessary mean to party and lay back.
For me, Do want you want means do what you value in life !!!

Sold two years ago... You might want to check the dates and read these things fully.
