It might not be any of our business and if it isn't please say so?
You have the bus and you have the dream!
The advice is here and offered very freely.
There also could be members here that if not close enough could give you advice on ones to help? Not to be rude???
I think either your mileage is of for the price you are asking or your price is off for the mileage?
Some pics would help but you need I think 5 post to be able to attach pics. Or if any one ask for pics you can PM them and send them specifically the PICS.
Good luck.
Hope we can help.

That's a very good price for what are usually excellent buses.
To gain interest here we usually need more info ... Engine, Transmission, VIN#
Photos ...

I have spoken to the owner via text about a possible trade. I have asked for engine, trans and vin# and have not gotten anything yet. Hopefully more information be forthcoming.

The mileage and price is correct, we are only asking what we have into it. Would love to do pics, not not sure how to get them on here.

Need to know the specifics on the engine and transmission for sure. Next would be rear axle ratio. Those will allow you to determine highway speed. There are lots of buses out there that won't go over 45-55 mph and getting them up to a safe highway speed can cost a small fortune.

Gates VIN decoder says Cummins ISC 8.3. Still leaves transmission model and rear axle ratio.
I'd buy it for that price if it turns out well, but I seem to be in line after a few others.

It's a Thomas.
The Trans info is on the plate on the top panel to the right of the emergency equipment box.
A quick email to Thomas will get the rear axle ratio, if the tabs are missing from the axle (mine are missing).
The two most common transmissions fitted by Thomas behind the 8.3 are the MT643 and MD3060
Also, that info plate will give the actual engine. Mine says 6CTA8.3-250. I believe yours is the later ISC (electronic).
The bottom line here is that is is a great bus and could be let down only by its condition.

If you're desperate, you could email pictures to one of us and we could post them on the thread for you.
Some of the pictures we need are clear shots of the dataplates. Those should be more-or-less shiny metal plates riveted to the interior of the bus with data stamped in them. There should be 2 of them. Someone more experienced than myself could pipe up with where they might be located on a Saf-T-Liner.

I have contacted Thomas and they are sending me all the info they have... I'll pass along to seller as well...in the event I don't get it.... got the info from Thomas.... its basically a link to the parts list for this bus. how can I tell what tranny and rear axle ratio from a parts list? I can send the link to someone who is more apt if needed.
Looking through each line item in the parts list shows a "plate CAT 3116 to MT643". So the parts show: Engine: CAT 3116, Transmission: Allison MT643
A vin decoder shows the engine as a Cummins, so I don't know now...
