1998 Thomas Vista 3600

Hey guys I found 1998 Thomas vista 24 passenger. It has the 7.3 l diesel with 170xxx miles and the allison auto transmission. The body is super clean as well as the engine I would even say mint.
the fella is wants 7000 for it. I may be able to talk him down a little once im there and the deal starts going but what are the general thoughts on that price?
I know its high but it is a sought after bus right ?

From the brief spec you listed, it sounds like a basic 1998 route bus that would sell at auction for between $1500 and $2000 ... if it was clean with decent tires.

I'm pretty sure thats one that sold at auction from Mesa School District a couple weeks back for around $4k. If you want a Vista shortie you can get one for less. I don't think its a particularly desired model though.

Yup, I think its the bus from the mesa shool district. Do you know what auction they use ? Public surplus or a private auction house ?

And Mr. Mullet 2500 seems like a great price ! I guess I just have to be patient and keep looking

Yup that's pretty much a spitting image of the bus that I was looking at at AAA . I ended up finding this same bus in California from a private seller with half the miles for 3500. I know it was a bit high but the bus was super clean no rust and only 80xxx miles so i pulled the trigger!
