I am putting up my E350 school bus for sale. It has a problem with the glow plugs that I haven't had a chance to diagnose yet. The mileage is 277k. It runs good when I get it fired up.

Here is a link to my craigslist ad.

Hey Crazycal,

Can you tell me more about your bus?

Condition details?
Items other than the glow plugs that may need attention?
What are the dimensions of the space behind the drivers seat?

Would you have any reservations about jumping in it and driving 2000 miles?

Thanks

Steve

Condition details? This bus is in very clean condition.
Items other than the glow plugs that may need attention? The GP are the only thing that I know of.
What are the dimensions of the space behind the drivers seat? I will get back with the measurements.

Would you have any reservations about jumping in it and driving 2000 miles? Not until the GP issue is taken care off.

Thanks

I haven't had time to deal with it. I know that it is a PITA to do glow plugs in a van. If I keep it for parts, I will pop the cab off and do it then. I can easily get 4500 for it if all is working.

Glow plugs aren't bad to do. The problem is most likely uvch. (under valve cover harness)
Wires go from the main harness to the valve cover gaskets (plastic with a connector on it) to a short harness inside. The glow plugs draw a lot of amps + it melts the connections after a (long) while. You can get the main harness terminal ends from Ford also. For parts-terminal ends (4) uvch (4) valve cover gaskets (2) glow plugs ( you're looking at maybe $200-$250. I did the whole shooting match on mine.

Wow, I looked for month for exactly that bus. Finally bought a corbeil version of that. But for that money I would not mind getting it. This looks like a hightop.
Do you know the interior height in the centre and the rear axle ratio. Was the transmission replaced or repaired at some moment?
Is this an all califonia bus no rust whatsoever.

PM or call me 1 814 574 1386

Looks like it's time for some WD40 for the wiper blades.

I raised the price to $3500. I'm tired of making the effort to deal with people and work with their time table and they don't bother answering calls and emails.

I put a new battery in it and moved it closer to my ham club so I can plug in the block warmer. It runs good when started. I wish I didn't need the money.

Joeblack, your price is the same as we talked about before.
